Nasdaq Account Status and Usage Reporting Overview

Overview

Nasdaq's Online Vendor Reporting System (OLIVER) offers a convenient mechanism for market data distributors to report summary market data usage. Nasdaq requires that all distributors of real-time Nasdaq proprietary data submit usage reports on a monthly or quad-monthly basis, depending on the size and scope of the firm. These usage reports must include the total number of users or devices that have the ability to access Nasdaq data during the reporting period.

Distributors must submit summary usage reports for each of the following UTP and Nasdaq levels of service:

UTP Services

  • Level 1 Professional
  • Level 1 Non-Professional
  • Level 1 Per Query
  • Level 1 Voice Port
  • Level 1 Cable Television Ticker Pilot

Nasdaq Proprietary Data

  • Level 2 (NQDS) Professional
  • Level 2 (NQDS) Non-Professional
  • TotalView Professional
  • TotalView Non-Professional
  • Nasdaq Market Analytix (Nasdaq MAX)

Based on the usage reports, Nasdaq will generate an invoice by multiplying the monthly population for each service level by the applicable fee. Unless Nasdaq has a valid re-sale certificate on file for the distributor, the invoice will include state sales tax, where applicable. Payment of the invoice is due within 15 business days of receipt of the invoice, with the total outstanding balance subject to a 1.5% interest charge at 30 business days.
