What is NASDAQ Basic?

NASDAQ Basic is a real-time market data product that offers Best Bid and Offer and Last Sale information for all U.S. exchange-listed securities based on liquidity within the NASDAQ® market center, as well as trades reported to the FINRA/NASDAQ Trade Reporting FacilityTM (TRFTM).

NASDAQ Basic provides an affordable and flexible way to provide customers with important market data.

What is changing?

In response to customer requests, NASDAQ OMX® will offer an additional, optional NASDAQ Basic Enterprise License for Broker/Dealers at the rate of $350,000 per month. The Enterprise License covers unlimited Professional and Non-Professional display usage to all Subscribers that have a brokerage relationship with the broker/dealer, on a single NASDAQ OMX-approved Broker/Dealer system.

This new Enterprise License Program allows Broker-Dealers to distribute real-time market data to a broad customer base of both professional and non-professional users, in an efficient and cost-effective manner. The new Enterprise License program is also easier to administer because reporting is only required on an annual basis.

How does this Enterprise License differ from the existing Professional Enterprise License?

The Enterprise License differs from the Internal Professional Enterprise License in that it does not cover distribution through any Distributor other than the Broker/Dealer, and is available only for Subscribers that have a brokerage relationship. Additionally non-professional use is permitted under this Enterprise License.

What is the new fee schedule?

Firms that wish to participate in the new Basic Enterprise License Program must subscribe to the following:

  • Basic Enterprise License at the rate of $350,000 per month AND
  • NASDAQ Last Sale Enterprise License for Non-Professionals at the capped level of $50,000 per month, AND
  • NASDAQ TotalView® / NASDAQ OpenView Enterprise License for Non-Professionals at a fee of $25,000 per month plus applicable Subscriber fees.
