  • On Thursday, January 19, 2012, The NASDAQ Stock Market® (NASDAQ®) will list one new Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF):
    • iShares MSCI Emerging Markets EMEA Index Fund (Symbol: EEME)
  • The ETF will list on The NASDAQ Global MarketSM.
  • Knight Capital Group (MPID: KELL) will be the Designated Liquidity Provider for the iShares, Inc. ETF.
  • You may register as a market maker by contacting NASDAQ OMX Trading Operations at +1 212 231 5100.

When will the new ETF begin trading?

Effective Thursday, January 19, 2012, NASDAQ plans to begin trading the following new ETF:

  • iShares MSCI Emerging Markets EMEA Index Fund (Symbol: EEME)

How will the ETF be traded?

The new ETF will be designated as a NASDAQ Global Market security.

How is ETF data disseminated?

Quotation and trade data for NASDAQ-listed ETFs are disseminated via UTP Level 1, NASDAQ Basic, NASDAQ Level 2 and NASDAQ TotalView® using the trading symbols listed above.

NASDAQ OMX® will also begin disseminating daily valuation information for the new iShares, Inc. ETF on Thursday, January 19th. These daily valuations will be posted on the NASDAQ OMX Trader website as well as disseminated through the NASDAQ OMX proprietary index data services with the following data elements and identifiers:

Who will be the Designated Liquidity Provider for this ETF?

In July 2007, NASDAQ introduced the ETF Market. The centerpiece of The NASDAQ ETF Market is the Designated Liquidity Provider (DLP), a market maker who has been selected to maintain liquidity in qualified ETFs (i.e., Qualified Securities). DLPs will be selected through a consultative process between ETF sponsors, market-making firms and NASDAQ.

Knight Capital Group (MPID: KELL) will be the DLP for the iShares, Inc. ETF.

How can I register as a market maker in this ETF?

You may register as a market maker by contacting NASDAQ OMX Trading Operations at +1 212 231 5100. Market makers in the iShares, Inc. ETF can register beginning Thursday, January 19, 2012.
