NASDAQ to Begin Listing New First Trust Exchange-Traded Fund VI ETFs on Tuesday, August 14, 2012

  • On Tuesday, August 14, 2012, The NASDAQ Stock Market® (NASDAQ®) will list two new Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs):
    • Multi-Asset Diversified Income Index Fund (Symbol: MDIV)
    • First Trust NASDAQ Technology Dividend Index Fund (Symbol: TDIV)
  • The ETFs will list on The NASDAQ Global MarketSM.
  • Susquehanna International Group, LLP (MPID: SUSQ) will be the Designated Liquidity Provider (DLP) for the First Trust Exchange-Traded Fund VI ETFs.
  • You may register as a market maker by contacting NASDAQ OMX Trading Operations at +1 212 231 5100.

When will the new ETFs begin trading?

Effective Tuesday, August 14, 2012, NASDAQ plans to begin trading the following new ETFs:

  • Multi-Asset Diversified Income Index Fund (Symbol: MDIV)
  • First Trust NASDAQ Technology Dividend Index Fund (Symbol: TDIV)

How will the ETFs be traded?

The new ETFs will be designated as a NASDAQ Global Market security.

How is ETF data disseminated?

Quotation and trade data for NASDAQ-listed ETFs are disseminated via UTP Level 1, NASDAQ Basic, NASDAQ Level 2 and NASDAQ TotalView® using the trading symbols listed above.

NASDAQ OMX® will also begin disseminating daily valuation information for the new First Trust Exchange-Traded Fund VI ETFs on Tuesday, August 14, 2012. These daily valuations will be posted on the NASDAQ OMX Trader website as well as disseminated through the NASDAQ OMX proprietary index data services with the following data elements and identifiers:

SUSQ will be the DLP for the First Trust Exchange-Traded Fund VI ETFs.

How can I register as a market maker in the ETFs?

You may register as a market maker by contacting NASDAQ OMX Trading Operations at +1 212 231 5100. Market makers in the First Trust Exchange-Traded Fund VI ETFs can register beginning Tuesday, August 14, 2012.
