When will the new ETF begin trading?
Effective Tuesday, October 16, 2012, The NASDAQ Stock Market® (NASDAQ®) plans to begin trading the following new ETF:
- Vanguard Short-Term Inflation-Protected Securities Index Fund (Symbol: VTIP)
For more information, refer to the Vanguard Informational Circular on the NASDAQ OMX Trader® website.
How will the ETF be traded?
The new ETF will be designated as a NASDAQ Global MarketSM security.
How is ETF data disseminated?
Quotation and trade data for NASDAQ-listed ETFs are disseminated via UTP Level 1, NASDAQ Basic, NASDAQ Level 2 and NASDAQ TotalView® using the trading symbols listed above.
NASDAQ OMX® will also begin disseminating daily valuation information for the new Vanguard ETF on Tuesday, October 16th. These daily valuations will be posted on the NASDAQ OMX Trader website as well as disseminated through the NASDAQ OMX proprietary index data services with the following data elements and identifiers:
