Nasdaq to Introduce Price Improvement Only Option for Midpoint Extended Life Orders

Subject to SEC approval, The Nasdaq Stock Market will introduce a new “Price Improvement Only” option for Midpoint Extended Life Orders (“M-ELO”) in July 2018.

The Price Improvement Only option will be available on an order-by-order basis, and will provide participants the ability to specify that the M-ELO order will execute only in circumstances where the NBBO midpoint provides the order with price improvement as measured against its limit price.
