What you need to know:

  • NASDAQ OMX® will offer User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on Saturday, October 13, 2012.
  • In addition to standard testing, the UAT will also include testing for FINRA/NASDAQ TRFTM (TRFTM) system updates to support FINRA Rule 6121.01 (Trading Pauses).

What will be offered?

NASDAQ OMX® will offer standard User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on Saturday, October 13, 2012.

In addition, testing will be available for FINRA/NASDAQ TRF system updates to support FINRA Rule 6121.01 (Trading Pauses).

What functionality will be supported during the UAT?

The UAT will support all current features.

What additional FINRA/NASDAQ TRF functionality will be supported during the test?

To test system updates to support FINRA Rule 6121.01 (Trading Pauses), the following securities will be subjected to "trading pauses" during the following execution times:

Note: testing is currently available in the NASDAQ OMX Test Facility (NTF). Refer to ETU #2012-29 for information on NTF testing symbols and times.

When is testing available?

NASDAQ OMX production systems will be available for pre-market trading in all securities at 9:00 a.m., Eastern Time (ET). On NASDAQ the pre-market trading is followed by a market open at 9:30 a.m., ET and a market close event will be scheduled for 12:00 p.m., ET.

Do customers need to register for the test?

Yes, firms should email NASDAQ OMX Trading Services to register for the test.
