NASDAQ OMX Announces Fees for PSX TotalView Effective November 1, 2011

  • After waiving fees for one year, NASDAQ OMX® is introducing the PSX TotalView-ITCH data feed pricing, effective November 1, 2011.
  • For data feed subscribers, NASDAQ OMX will assess internal distributor, external distributor, direct access and per-user fees, depending on how customers access the PSX TotalView-ITCH data.

What is NASDAQ OMX PSX?

NASDAQ OMX PSXSM (PSXSM), launched in October 2010, is the only equity venue to offer a price/size priority model for trading U.S. equities. PSX operates as a Reg NMS protected quote, trading securities listed on The NASDAQ Stock Market® (NASDAQ®), NYSE, NYSE Amex and NYSE Acra and runs on proven INET technology.

What is the new pricing?

After waiving fees for one year, NASDAQ OMX is introducing PSX TotalView pricing, effective November 1, 2011.

For data feed subscribers, the following monthly fees will apply depending on how customers access the PSX TotalView-ITCH data:

  • External Distributor fee of $1,250
  • Internal Distributor fee of $500
  • Professional per-user fee of $40
  • Non-Professional per-user fee of $1

In addition, NASDAQ OMX offers an enterprise license option of $16,000 per month for firms using PSX TotalView in non-display devices, reducing the administrative burden of counting and reporting non-display devices every month.

For those firms connecting directly to a NASDAQ OMX datacenter for the PSX TotalView data, a monthly Direct Access fee of $1,000 will also apply.

What are the benefits of PSX TotalView?

The PSX TotalView feed provides full order depth for NASDAQ-, NYSE-, NYSE Amex- and NYSE Arca-listed securities. The proprietary feed allows customers to view all displayed quotes and orders, access total displayed anonymous interest and see total size of all displayed quotes and orders.

By subscribing to PSX TotalView, redistributors are able to provide increased transparency to investors.

What other products are available to support the PSX market?

In addition to the PSX TotalView data feed product, NASDAQ OMX also offers the following proprietary data products to support the growing trading on the PSX market:

  • PSX Last Sale provides real-time intraday trade data from the PSX execution system covering the full range of securities traded on the PSX market.
  • PSX Basic entitlement offers the Best Bid and Offer and Last Sale information for all issues traded on the PSX venue.
  • Part of the PSX Basic entitlement, PSX Best Bid and Offer (PSX BBO) data product provides the highest bid and lowest offer price available in all securities traded on the PSX market system.
