What you need to know:

NASDAQ OMX plans to change the following as of January 1, 2014:

  • NASDAQ OMX will implement an Enterprise License Program for NASDAQ Basic that includes a Net Reporting Program option.
  • NASDAQ OMX will provide Distributors on the Enterprise License complimentary subscriber access to real-time NASDAQ Last Sale data for display use on an internal website to compare their firm's real-time stock price for up to ten (10) competitors or peers.
  • The NASDAQ Basic Professional Subscriber fee will increase for the first time by $6 per month.
  • The NASDAQ Basic Non-Professional Subscriber fee will remain unchanged.

What is changing?

In response to customer requests, NASDAQ OMX® will offer an optional monthly Enterprise License of $365,000 (pending Securities and Exchange Commission filing) that includes a Net Reporting Program option; specific details of the Net Reporting Program will follow in a subsequent notification. The Enterprise License covers a firm's internal usage for up to 16,000 subscribers. Any vendor-reported usage above that will be subject to an additional monthly charge of $2 per subscriber. In addition, NASDAQ OMX will provide Distributors on the Enterprise License complimentary subscriber access to real-time NASDAQ Last Sale data for display use on an internal website to compare their firm's real-time stock price for up to ten (10) competitors or peers.

Over the last five years, NASDAQ OMX has increased the value and content of both NASDAQ QBBO and NASDAQ Last Sale. As a result of this and other industry trends, NASDAQ OMX plans to increase the NASDAQ Basic Professional Subscriber fee by $6 effective January 1, 2014. This is the first price increase for NASDAQ Basic since inception, a product that continues to save the industry up to 60% against the consolidated Level 1 Service. The NASDAQ Basic Non-Professional Subscriber fee will remain unchanged. The 90-day notice period provides Distributors and Subscribers time to budget accordingly in preparation for 2014.

What is the new fee schedule for NASDAQ Basic?

Effective January 1, 2014, the NASDAQ Basic fee schedule will be as follows:
