  • On Monday, July 2, 2012, Calamos Closed-End-Funds (CEFs) (NYSE: “CHY”, “CHI”, “CGO”, “CSQ” and “CHW” ) will begin trading on the NASDAQ Global Select Market®.
  • The Calamos CEFs will be listed on NASDAQ under the ticker symbols “CHY”, “CHI”, “CGO”, “CSQ” and “CHW”.
  • The issues will continue to be traded on NYSE through Friday, June 29, 2012.

What is changing?

On Monday, July 2, 2012, Calamos CEFs (NYSE: “CHY”, “CHI”, “CGO”, “CSQ” and “CHW”) will begin trading on the NASDAQ Global Select Market. Calamos CEFs will be listed on NASDAQ under the ticker symbols “CHY”, “CHI”, “CGO”, “CSQ” and “CHW”. The CEFs will continue to be traded on NYSE through Friday, June 29, 2012.

What database changes do NASDAQ market data redistributors need to make to accommodate the new listing?

NASDAQ® asks that all market data redistributors update their database to reflect the new listing market for the Calamos CEFs on Monday, July 2, 2012. NASDAQ requests that market data redistributors retain historical data from NYSE for “CHY”, “CHI”, “CGO”, “CSQ” and “CHW”.

When the issues moves from NYSE to NASDAQ, firms will see a change in the consolidated data source for Calamos CEFs. Please note that the consolidated market data for all NASDAQ-listed issues is disseminated via the UTP Quotation Data FeedSM (UQDFSM) and UTP Trade Data FeedSM (UTDFSM). Firms will begin to see quotation and trade data for Calamos CEFs on UQDF and UTDF beginning in the pre-market trading hours on Monday, July 2, 2012.

For firms that report end usage numbers by the query, NASDAQ reminds them that the Level 1, NASDAQ Basic and NASDAQ Last Sale (NLS) counts should include quote and trade queries for Calamos CEFs “CHY”, “CHI”, “CGO”, “CSQ” and “CHW” beginning on Monday, July 2, 2012.
