Reminder: GIDS 2.0 Beta Testing to Begin Monday, May 7, 2012

What is being announced?
GIDS 2.0 will begin Beta testing on Monday, May 7, 2012. The Beta testing period will allow for client testing and parallel verification. Given the additional operational hours of GIDS 2.0, NASDAQ OMX LLC strongly encourages parallel testing of the enhanced service during the Beta testing period. This will afford clients the best testing opportunities since the Beta feed will be operational during market hours.
How long will Beta testing for GIDS be available?
The Beta period will run until COB on Friday, August 17, 2012. The three (3) month Beta period will allow clients to test their systems in parallel, until the GIDS 2.0 production launch on Monday, August 20, 2012.
Will there be weekend or evening testing opportunities for GIDS 2.0?
There are currently no additional weekend or evening testing opportunities planned for GIDS 2.0. NASDAQ OMX LLC conducted a weekend test on Saturday, April 14, 2012. Data files from the April 14th test can be found here. We have included three files for vendors to use.
- Full output.
- Filtered ticks. Retained only the first 10,000 index ticks and Exchange Traded Product ticks, but kept all other messages.
- Beginning of the day. Kept only the first 200,000 messages.

What do firms need to do to connect to GIDS 2.0?
Firms must submit a new Data Feed Request Form for the enhanced GIDS 2.0 data feed.
The new GIDS 2.0 IP address information is available on the UDP/IP Addresses - Indexes page on the NASDAQ OMX Trader® website.
