  • As a result, on Monday, October 5, 2015, Google Inc. (Nasdaq: GOOG and GOOGL) will undergo a name and CUSIP change.

What is changing?

Google Inc. recently announced plans to reorganize and create a new public holding company, which will be called Alphabet Inc. As a result of the holding company reorganization, each share of Class A Common Stock (GOOGL) and Class C Capital Stock (GOOG) will automatically convert into an equivalent corresponding share of Alphabet Inc. stock.
