What is changing?
Updates to the BX Options Depth Market Feed and Top of Market Feed will be to both feeds. Certain message types will see changes that include, but are not limited to: newly added fields, changes to length, or standard message headers.
Details of the changes can be found below in the Updated Technical Specifications for the feeds:
- BX Options Depth of Market Feed 2.0
- BX Options Top of Market Feed 2.0

As a part of the re-platform, the optional Glimpse service will be expanded and made available for the BX Options Top of Market Feed. The service enables customers to quickly obtain information on the current book state. The Glimpse mechanism allows for intra-day connection by obtaining the current book state and returning a sequence number to be used to join the live multicast stream.
Why are these changes being made? What are the benefits?
These changes are being made as part of a broader effort to harmonize exchange technology. The changes to market data feeds will bring conformance at the message type level and allow Nasdaq to migrate our other derivatives markets in the future.
Will there be any price increases to the market data feeds with the re-platforming efforts?
No. There are no plans to increase market data pricing as we migrate BX Options to the new platform.
