What you need to know:

What are the new indexes?

The Russell Fundamental Index® Series is created from the leading Russell 3000® and Russell Global ex-U.S. indexes. Constituents are scored and weighted based on fundamental measures of company size, then further divided into Large Company and Small Company Fundamental Indexes.

The Russell FrontierTM Index represents the investable frontier equity market and its segments comprehensively. Consistent with the design of the family of Russell Global Indexes, it is constructed using float-adjusted market capitalization weights and represents 98% of the cumulative, liquid market capitalization of frontier countries.

The Russell World Cap Index combines the constituents of the U.S. broad market Russell 3000® Index and the Russell Global ex-U.S. Large Cap Index to provide a broad, investable global benchmark that represents what U.S.-based institutional investors and managers invest today.

The Russell Developed Europe index measures the performance of the developed countries in the European region.

How will the indexes be disseminated?

Effective Monday, March 12, 2012, data recipients will receive end-of-day index information from the proprietary RussellTick data feed. For a list of the new indexes and data elements that will be disseminated via RussellTick, please click here.

NASDAQ OMX will also support the following directory messages on RussellTick:
