NASDAQ OMX Announces Change of Index Symbols for Select NASDAQ OMX Indexes on Friday, September 7, 2012

What you need to know:

  • NASDAQ OMX will change the index symbols of the following NASDAQ OMX Indexes effective after the close of trading on Friday, September 7, 2012 on the Global Index Data ServiceSM (GIDSSM):
  • NASDAQ OMX China Technology Index (Symbol: NQCH9000)
  • NASDAQ OMX China Technology Total Return Index (Symbol: NQCH9000X)
  • NASDAQ OMX asks that all market data redistributors update their database to reflect the new index symbols following the close of trading on Friday, September 7, 2012.
  • The index name will not change.

What is the impact to the GIDS product?

NASDAQ OMX will begin dissemination of the new index symbols after the close of business on Friday, September 7, 2012.

The index symbol changes will be as follows:
