Effective after the close of business on Friday, December 19, 2014, Nasdaq will cease the calculation and dissemination of the following six indexes:

  • PHLX Defense Sector Index (Symbol: DFX)
  • PHLX Medical Devise Sector Index (Symbol: MXZ)
  • PHLX Drug Sector Index (Symbol: RXS)
  • PHLX Marine Shipping Index (Symbol: SHX)
  • PHLX Chemicals Sector Index (Symbol: XCM)
  • PHLX Europe Sector Index (Symbol: XEX)

How will this impact data feeds?

Nasdaq will cease dissemination of intraday index values and directory messages for the above indexes on the following Nasdaq proprietary index data services:

  • Nasdaq Global Index Data ServiceSM (GIDS 2.0)
  • Nasdaq Global Index WatchSM (GIW)
  • Nasdaq Global Index FlexFile Delivery (GIFFD)
