Where is the new NASDAQ OMX data center located?
NASDAQ OMXSM plans to open a new data center in London, England that will serve as the primary data center for the new market NASDAQ OMX Europe. Given the high demand for low latency U.S. equity data, NASDAQ OMX also plans to offer direct access to its premier TotalView and NASDAQ Last Sale (NLS) products at the new London data center.
Which NASDAQ OMX data products will be connected through the new data center?
London will serve as the primary data center for the new data feed products for NASDAQ OMX Europe, to be launched in September of 2008, pending approval by the UK Financial Services Authority (FSA). NASDAQ OMX plans to replicate the TotalView-ITCH and European Last Sale (ELS) products for this new market. Additional information on the NASDAQ OMX Europe data feed products will be provided as it becomes available.
In addition, NASDAQ OMX plans to offer connectivity for the following U.S. equity data products at its London data center in the second half of 2008:
| Data Feed | Data Content |
|---|---|
| NASDAQ TotalView-ITCH 3.0 |
|
| NASDAQ TotalView-Aggregated |
|
| NASDAQ Last Sale (NLS) |
|
NASDAQ OMX plans to support the TotalView and NLS products in both the standard SoupTCP and MoldUDP protocols at the new data center. Please refer to NASDAQ OMX Data Feed Bandwidth Recommendations for more information on the network allocations for these three products.
How can I obtain access to the U.S. equity feeds at the new NASDAQ OMX data center?
NASDAQ OMX will have the TotalView and NLS data feeds fully operational at the London data center in August of 2008. To access these products, firms should order a dedicated circuit into the new NASDAQ OMX data center to access the TotalView and NLS products. For details on the direct connection options for the London data center, please refer to Direct Circuit Ordering Information document on the NASDAQ OMX Europe website.
NASDAQ OMX is now consulting with the extranet providers to determine how they will process the U.S. equity feeds from the London data center. It should be noted that extranet providers already access the TotalView and NLS data feeds via the NASDAQ OMX data centers in the United States.
How can I obtain access to the U.S. equity feeds at the new NASDAQ OMX data center?
To obtain the U.S. equity data feeds via the London data center, a firm must:
1) Order connectivity to the London data center: To obtain a dedicated circuit into the London data center, a firm must complete the Port Request Form and review the Direct Connect Ordering Information document.
