Effective Monday, October 19, 2020, Nasdaq will begin disseminating the following new indexes on the Nasdaq Global Index Data ServiceSM (GIDS).

What are the new Indexes?

The Nasdaq Yewno Aerospace & Defense Index is designed to track the performance of companies involved in the aerospace and defense industries. The companies are selected based on proprietary data aggregated by Yewno, including US government contract data (i.e. “national security” revenue) and global patent data.

The Benchmark Technology & Ecommerce Real Estate SCTR? Index measures the performance of publicly traded real estate securities, primarily Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs), of exchange-listed companies in developed markets according to the Nasdaq eligible exchange list.

How are the Indexes disseminated?

On Monday, October 19, 2020, data recipients will receive real-time index information from the proprietary GIDS data feed with the following attributes:

  • Equities Summary (Message Type F): Disseminated at the end of the U.S. and European trading session to relay the summary of the current trading day's activity for an equity index.
  • Index Directory (Message Type R): Disseminated at the start of each day to relay basic index information.
