UPDATED: As outlined in Options Trader Alert #2016-11, Nasdaq is undergoing a technology refresh on the NOM trading system. State-of-the-art network and server equipment will be deployed in order to achieve a more efficient and more robust infrastructure to support the growing needs of our market participants. The refresh is part of Nasdaq’s commitment to leading the industry in technology standards. A Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document outlining the Technology Refresh is now available on the Nasdaq Trader website. Effective Monday, October 3, 2016, NOM will begin migrating symbols to the new NOM environment. SQF and OTTO users will be required to begin using new SQF and OTTO connections for the migrated symbols on the dates provided below, while continuing to utilize existing connections for symbols that have not yet migrated. When all symbols have migrated to the new system, legacy SQF and OTTO connections will be retired. The new refreshed environment will allow SQF and OTTO users to utilize a single connection to quote across all symbols, compared to the current requirement to use separate connections for specific symbol ranges. Also effective Monday, October 3, 2016, NOM will begin utilizing new IPs for CTI, FIX Drop, OTTO Drop, ITTO and BONO. Data related to symbols which have migrated to the new system will only be available through the new IP address for the related interface or feed. Participants will continue to receive data via current IP addresses for symbols that have not yet migrated. Connections to the legacy feeds will be retired when the symbol migration is complete. Further details regarding the transition of the Proprietary Data Feeds can be found on the Data Technical News Alert #2016-14. Migration Schedule
