NASDAQ OMX Introduces QView for Tracking Subscriber Order Flow

What you need to know:

  • Pending filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), NASDAQ OMX® plans to introduce QView — a web-based tool designed to give customers the ability to track their firm's order flow on The NASDAQ Stock Market® (NASDAQ®).
  • NASDAQ OMX QView is scheduled to launch in the fourth quarter of 2011, date TBD.
  • NASDAQ OMX will offer a street wide demo on Tuesday, October 25th at 10:00 a.m., Eastern Time (ET). To register please email kristen.pross@nasdaqomx.com. Upon receipt of your registration, you will receive phone and WebEx details.

What has been announced?

Pending filing with the SEC, in the fourth quarter of 2011, date TBD, NASDAQ OMX plans to launch QView — a web-based tool designed to give customers the ability to track their firm's order flow on NASDAQ.

What is QView?

Using QView, subscribers can track all of their trading activity on NASDAQ through detailed order and execution summaries available real-time or as historical reports.

Users will be able to track executions and open orders in real-time using the QView dashboard. Activity can be viewed as an overall summary with all totals displayed by quantity, volume or dollar value. QView also enables users to filter down to specific details to help track firm activity and predict pricing tier eligibility.

What details will I be able to track with QView?

Upon launch, QView will provide the following details:

  • Liquidity code
  • Symbol

  • Time-In-Force (TIF)

For future enhancements, we plan to include:

  • Analytics
  • Order cancel ratios
  • Order fill ratios
  • Analysis by order type/routing strategy
  • Rankings by volume
  • View of orders and executions from NASDAQ Opening and Closing Crosses
  • Summary of routed activity
