FINRA/Nasdaq TRF 23/5 Expanded Hours Testing Opportunities

To prepare for the launch of nearly continuous 23-hour, 5-day trading on the FINRA/Nasdaq TRFs beginning December 6, 2026, Nasdaq is offering the following testing opportunities.

Nasdaq Test Facility (NTF)

Beginning September 28, 2026

  • Trade Reporting and Clearing is available on FINRA/Nasdaq TRF Carteret and FINRA/Nasdaq TRF Chicago from Sunday to Friday from 9:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. via TRF FIX or WorkX
  • Firms may use existing NTF TRF FIX Ports and WorkX logins. To request NTF TRF FIX ports or WorkX logins, please submit a request form.
  • Firms may test with production and test symbols

Weekend UAT Production Dates

  • Industry Dates: October 2, 2026, October 16, 2026, October 30, 2026, November 6, 2026, November 20, 2026, December 4, 2026
  • Firms may use their existing Production TRF FIX Ports and/or WorkX services
  • Firms may test with production and test symbols
  • Testing is available from 11:00 p.m. Friday until 12:00 p.m. (noon) Saturday. To receive dedicated support from our TRF OPS team, please register for weekend testing by contacting Nasdaq Trading Services by 12:00 p.m. (ET), on the Friday one week prior to the scheduled weekend test in which the firm would like to participate. 
    •  For example, please register by Friday, October 9th at 12:00 p.m. for testing on October 16th.
  • For testing this weekend (beginning Friday, October 2nd at 11:00 p.m.), please register by Friday, October 2nd at 12:00 p.m.

NTF Fee Waiver

NTF metered testing 30-day fee waivers are available to customers for 23/5 TRF testing pursuant to Nasdaq rules (see Equity Rule 7, Section 130(d)(3) for eligibility). Customers may test with TRF FIX free of charge for a 30 consecutive day period in the NTF by registering their firm MPID and start date with NTFbilling@nasdaq.com in advance of testing. Please indicate the testing purpose (23/5 TRF testing) when submitting the fee waiver request. Customers who register for the testing fee waiver will be charged for such testing at the expiration of the 30 consecutive day fee waiver period. Customers who do not register for the TRF FIX testing fee waiver will be charged for all testing. Customers can test WorkX free of charge in the NTF.
