What you need to know:

  • The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has issued a statement detailing an extension of the Emergency Short Sale Order. As extended, the Order will continue until three business days after Congress enacts legislation designed to stabilize the credit markets and financial system or October 17, 2008, whichever comes sooner.
