What you need to know:

Nasdaq will retire the Nasdaq Trading Insights suite of products effective on December 31, 2021, pending SEC approval.

What is Trading Insights?

Trading Insights, launched in 2017, uses data, analytics, and machine learning to help a firm improve its trading behaviors and market performance on the Nasdaq Equities Exchange. Trading Insights was launched with three components, all of which will be retired:

  • Missed Opportunity Latency: Evaluation of trading performance as measured through timeliness
  • Missed Opportunity Liquidity: Evaluation of trading performance as measured through order size
  • Peer Benchmarks: Evaluation of trading performance as measured in comparison to a peer group

Why is Trading Insights being retired?

Nasdaq is constantly reviewing its product catalog to ensure that the tools and services offered are a fit to not only our customers but within the larger Nasdaq product strategy. As part of that ongoing review process, Nasdaq determined that demand for Trading Insights did not justify the investment in continuing operation, and the resources used to offer Trading Insights would be better directed toward new tools and services that would address more pressing customer issues and generate greater demand.

When will Trading Insights be retired?

Trading Insights will be turned down on December 31, 2021, and will no longer be available beyond that date.

What should I do if I am a current subscriber?

A Nasdaq Sales representative will contact each firm who is currently subscribing to this product to ensure an orderly end of life process. As of January 1, 2022, user credentials will no longer be able to access the service, and all billing of this service will cease following the December billable period in January, 2022.
