Nasdaq to Observe Moments of Silence in Remembrance of 9/11

On Friday, Sept. 11, 2026, Nasdaq will honor the 25th anniversary of 9/11 with a day of remembrance at the Nasdaq MarketSite in Times Square.

The FDNY Foundation and members of the Fire Department of the City of New York (FDNY), who served with extraordinary courage on that day and in the months that followed, will ring the Opening Bell in solemn tribute to the lives lost.

Nasdaq and the FDNY will also observe moments of silence at 9:11 a.m. Eastern Time outside in the Times Square triangle and again at 9:20 a.m. Eastern Time in studio to honor the victims, their families and survivors. The names of the victims will scroll on the Nasdaq Tower from 9:00–9:20 a.m. Eastern Time.
