Effective Monday, November 22, 2021, Nasdaq will begin disseminating the following new indexes on the Nasdaq Global Index Data ServiceSM (GIDS).

What are the new Indexes?

The Nasdaq CTA Latin American Technology Innovators Index is designed to track the performance of a selection of companies that are domiciled, incorporated or derive the majority of their revenue from the Latin American region and that are classified by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) as having a business focus in the technology sector.

The Nasdaq Clean Edge Green Energy Custom Index is designed to track the performance of companies domiciled in North America or Europe (excluding Russia) that are manufacturers, developers, distributors, and/or installers of clean-energy technologies, as classified by Clean Edge.

How are the Indexes disseminated?

On Monday, November 22, 2021, data recipients will receive real-time index information from the proprietary GIDS data feed with the following attributes:

In addition to the real-time tick messages, Nasdaq will support the following directory messages on GIDS:

  • Equities Summary (Message Type F): Disseminated at the end of the U.S. and European trading session to relay the summary of the current trading day's activity for an equity index.
  • Index Directory (Message Type R): Disseminated at the start of each day to relay basic index information.
