UTP Vendor Alert #2016 - 17
RELEASE REMINDER: SIP Launch of Enhanced INET Platform October 24, 2016

What you need to know:

As announced in UTP Vendor Alert 2016-1 and updated in UTP Vendor Alert 2016-16, the UTP SIP will migrate the data feed service over to the new binary data feed services. This Saturday, October 22, 2016, the confidence test for the SIP Launch of the Enhanced Binary Platform will be conducted.

  • There are no plans for an industry bridge call.
  • Testing window is available from 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM.
  • Direct data recipients can participate by listening to the Binary data feeds.
  • Vendor Notice will be posted Saturday Afternoon confirming the Go / No-Go status

It is not anticipated that there will be a high volume of data sent on Saturday. The SIP Processor and the Exchanges have completed their testing of the environment over the past 8 months and this test is primarily a confidence test prior to production launch of the binary services. It is expected that the exchanges will connect, send a few quotes and trades to confirm their connectivity is good and leave those configurations in for Monday, October 24, 2016 Binary Production Launch.

Upon the conclusion of the Saturday Confidence test and a Go Live approval by the UTP Committee, Monday, October 24, 2016 the Binary UTP Data Services will be deemed production ready. Data Feed Recipients must use the UTP Data Services (binary) for regulatory obligations.

Legacy ASCII data feeds will still be disseminating for fallback purposes for a two week period. Effective close of business Friday, November 4, 2016 the Legacy ASCII services will be terminated.
