Nasdaq Announces Multi-Factor Authentication for Global Index Watch (GIW)

What you need to know:To enhance security and protect client information, Nasdaq is implementing Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for all Global Index Watch (GIW) clients. Starting on Friday, October 10th, Nasdaq is requiring all users to use an authentication app code in addition to their username and password to log into GIW. After this date, users will no longer be able to access GIW without completing the MFA process. Alternatively, clients may also access Nasdaq Index Data through Nasdaq’s Nasdaq Global Index FlexFile Delivery or GIW Web Services API services. |

What action is required from you?
1. Complete Enrollment in MFA: Follow setup instructions for downloading an authentication app: USER GUIDE HERE
2. Test Your Access: Verify your setup at beta.indexes.nasdaq.com before Friday, October 10th
What is the new login process?
- Starting Friday, October 10th you will need:
- Username
- Password
- Temporary One-Time Password (TOTP)
What is not changing?
- Password update requirement: Still required every 90 days
- System URLs and access methods remain the same
- Web Services API and Nasdaq Global Index FlexFile Delivery (GIFFD) are not impacted by this change
