  • UPDATED 3/27/13: PHLX will begin trading Mini Options on Monday, April 1, 2013.
  • BX Options will begin trading mini-options on a date to be determined later.
  • Mini Options will be available on the following symbols: AAPL, AMZN, GLD, GOOG, and SPY.
  • The fees for Mini Options on PHLX are announced.

What is being announced?

UPDATED 3/27/13: NASDAQ OMX PHLX® (PHLXSM) will begin trading Mini Options on Monday, April 1, 2013. Mini Options will be traded on the following symbols: AAPL, AMZN, GLD, GOOG and SPY. For further information regarding Mini Options, please refer to NASDAQ OMX OTA #2013-5.

NASDAQ OMX BX OptionsSM (BX Options) will begin trading Mini Options on a date to be determined.

What are the fees associated with Mini Options?

Customer Professional Specialist and Market Maker Broker-Dealer
Mini Options Transaction Fee - Electronic $0.00 $0.00 $0.00 $0.00
Mini Options Transaction Fee - Floor and QCC $0.00 $0.00 $0.00 $0.00

The above transaction fees will apply to PIXL executions in Mini Options.

Routing Fees for Customers will be $0.01 per contract in addition to the actual transaction fee assessed. If the away market pays a rebate, the Routing Fee will be $0.00. Routing Fees for all other participants will be $0.15.

The Cancellation Fee for each cancelled electronically delivered Professional AON order will continue to apply to the Mini Options. The Cancellation Fee will not apply for each cancelled electronically delivered Customer order in Mini Options.

Mini Options volume will not be included in and will not be eligible for the Customer Rebate Program.

The following fees will also not apply to Mini Options:

  • Payment For Order Flow
  • QCC Transaction Fees & Rebates
  • Monthly Firm Fee Cap
