Upon SEC request (including, but not limited to, in accordance with standing SEC requests regarding market closings), NASDAQ will halt all domestic trading in both securities listed on NASDAQ and securities traded on NASDAQ pursuant to unlisted trading privileges if other major securities markets initiate marketwide trading halts in response to extraordinary market conditions. NASDAQ member firms should become familiar with the percentage-based, circuit-breaker standards and be prepared for trading halts in NASDAQ trading should the Dow Jones Industrial Average (the Dow) decline to the applicable trigger-point levels established by this rule.
