What you need to know:

  • Effective Tuesday, January 3, 2012, The NASDAQ Options MarketSM (NOM) will introduce Rule 7056, NASDAQ Options Fee Disputes, pending filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
  • NOM is establishing a fee dispute practice to require NOM Participants to dispute fee invoices within 60 days of receipt of the billing invoice.

What is changing?

Effective Tuesday, January 3, 2012, NOM will introduce Rule 7056, NASDAQ Options Fee Disputes, to specify certain policies to dispute fees, pending filing with the SEC. NOM is establishing this fee dispute practice to require NOM Participants to dispute fee invoices within 60 days of receipt of the billing invoice.

How should fee disputes be submitted?

All disputes concerning fees which are billed by NOM must be submitted to NOM in writing and must be accompanied by supporting documentation. All fee disputes must be submitted no later than 60 days after receipt of a billing invoice.

What current fees does Rule 7056 apply to?

Rule 7056 applies to Rule 7050 “NASDAQ Options Market-Fees” and Rule 7054, “NASDAQ Options Market- Access Services”, with the exception of TradeInfo Fees.
