UPDATE: 2026 Failover and Market Wide Circuit Breaker Testing Schedule

What you need to know:

  • Update: The final test for 2026 will now be conducted on Saturday, December 12, 2026, between 9:00 - 11:30 a.m. ET.

  • As previously announced in UTP Vendor Alert #2025-32 the SIP's will conduct data center failover testing to the secondary data center as well as Market-Wide Circuit Breaker (MWCB) Breach Level 1 and 2 (7% breach and 13% breach).

  • The next scheduled test with the Participants will take place on Saturday, July 25, 2026. All Data Subscribers are invited to participate in this test to validate the expected processing within their systems.

  • Testing will be conducted between 9:00 - 12:00 a.m. ET. Specific failover times will be unannounced in order to simulate unexpected real-time occurrences.

  • Remaining Testing Schedule for 2026 is as follows:
    • Saturday, April 11, 2026 (Failover; MWCB Level 1 & 2 Test #1) - COMPLETED
    • Saturday, July 25, 2026 (Failover; MWCB Level 1 & 2 Test #2)
    • Saturday, September 12, 2026 (Dedicated MWCB Level 1, 2 & 3)
    • Saturday, December 12, 2026 (Failover; MWCB Level 1 & 2 Test #3)
