NASDAQ OMX to Retire the Web Interface for Historical ITCH Data Effective November 1, 2012

What you need to know:

  • Effective Thursday, November 1, 2012, NASDAQ OMX® will retire the web interface for historical ITCH data.
  • The following historical products are currently available on the web interface:
  • NASDAQ Historical TotalView-ITCH
  • BX Historical TotalView-ITCH
  • Historical Velocity and Forces
  • Historical Pathfinders
  • Historical ITCH to Trade Options (ITTO)
  • Please note: All data products previously available on the web interface will still be available via FTP access.

What is being announced?

Effective Thursday, November 1, 2012, NASDAQ OMX will retire the web interface for historical ITCH data at itchdata.nasdaq.com.

Historical ITCH data will still be available via the FTP protocol interface. Customers accessing the data outside of the web interface will see no changes. Automated processes using data retrieved via the FTP protocol will not be affected.

How do I access the FTP Protocol?

Please refer to the Web-Based Specification page for technical specifications for the data products. The Secured FTP Specifications for each product has been provided below:

Although secure, the FTP protocol can be accessed via the various FTP solutions available on the internet. Customers that only use the web interface will use their current login credentials to access the FTP interface.
