Nasdaq Testing Schedule for MFQS Footnote Code Release

What you need to know:

  • As outlined in Data Technical News #2015-1, Nasdaq plans to implement three new footnote codes on Monday, April 13, 2015.
  • In preparation for the release, Nasdaq will offer evening testing opportunities for Mutual Fund Dissemination Services (MFDS) data feed subscribers beginning Monday, March 9, 2015.
  • In addition, Nasdaq will offer two Saturday user acceptance tests for MFQS and MFDS subscriber firms:
    • Saturday, March 14, 2015
    • Saturday, April 11, 2015

What is changing?

As outlined Data Technical News #2015-1, Nasdaq plans to implement three new footnote codes on Monday, April 13, 2015. For money market funds, Nasdaq will introduce new codes for firms to denote Redemption Gate and Liquidity Fee situations as defined in the amended SEC Money Market Reform Act. For mutual funds, Nasdaq will add a code for Repurchase Offer Periods for interval funds. Please use the links above to the updated MFQS inbound and outbound interface specifications.

As part of the release, Nasdaq will also modify the secured MFQS website landing page to make it easier for MFQS subscribers to stay informed of MFQS system changes and upcoming events.

When will Nasdaq offer testing opportunities for MFDS subscribers?

Nasdaq will offer evening test transmissions for MFDS data feed subscribers beginning Monday, March 9, 2015. Nasdaq plans to broadcast MFDS pre-formatted test messages via production IP multicast channels from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m., Eastern Time (ET).

In addition, Nasdaq will offer two Saturday user acceptance tests (UATs) for MFQS issuers, pricing agents and market data vendors on:

  • Saturday, March 14, 2015
  • Saturday, April 11, 2015

UATs are scheduled to run from 9 a.m. to 12 noon, Eastern Time (ET). Firms wishing to participate in the UAT should complete and submit the MFQS testing registration form to Nasdaq MFQS Operations by the Thursday before the scheduled test date.
