What you need to know:

On September 29, 2023, Nasdaq will be introducing an enhancement to the client certificate request process. Customers will now have additional encryption options during their recertification process.

What is changing?

On September 29, 2023, Nasdaq will be introducing an enhancement to the client certificate request process. Currently, certificates are downloaded via security.nasdaq.com and are provided as 1024 bits by default.

With this enhancement, Nasdaq will be providing customers with the ability to select either 1024-bit, 2048-bit or 4096-bit certificates.

All bit lengths will allow for successful authentication to Nasdaq managed applications.

We are offering this enhancement for customers electing to improve their security posture when connecting into Nasdaq. Please note that this will only affect applications which require a client certificate.

As a reminder, certificates are renewed every two years. If you have an existing certificate that is not due to expire, you do NOT need to request a renewal once this change is implemented. Current application access will function as normal.
