MFQS to Extend Primary Reporting Session by Five Minutes, Effective February 9, 2009

Summary:
- NASDAQ OMX will extend the Mutual Fund Quotation Service (MFQS) primary reporting session by five minutes as part of the upcoming system changes planned for February 2009.
- Effective Monday, February 9, 2009, the MFQS primary reporting session will run from 9:00 a.m. to 6:05 p.m., Eastern Time (ET).
- The MFQS secondary reporting session will continue to operate from approximately 6:15 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., ET.

What are the new MFQS reporting session hours as of February 9, 2009?
At the agreement of the Investment Company Institute (ICI) and the Associated Press (AP), NASDAQ OMXSM will extend the primary reporting session time allocation by five minutes as part of the upcoming Mutual Fund Quotation ServiceSM (MFQSSM) release.
Effective Monday, February 9, 2009, the new MFQS reporting session times will be:

What other MFQS product enhancements will NASDAQ OMX be making in February of 2009?
As outlined in MFQS News #2008-7, NASDAQ OMX will be enhancing the MFQS interface to support the daily reporting of Total Assets for open-end and closed-end mutual funds. NASDAQ OMX will also be standardizing the MFQS Valuation message and adding functionality to support the data entry of prior day price data for money market funds.
