Nasdaq PHLX Lowers Minimum Size for Anticipatory Hedging for NDX and NDXP

As of Monday, October 1, 2018, Nasdaq PHLX reduced the minimum size for anticipatory hedging in options symbols NDX and NDXP for “tied hedge” eligible transactions. The minimum size for On-Floor Transactions in Options symbols NDX and NDXP hedged with the PowerShares QQQ Exchange-Traded Fund Shares (QQQ) was lowered from 500 contracts to 50 contracts.

QQQ has been previously designated as an eligible "related instrument" for NDX and NDXP hedges per ORA # 2018-10

The minimum tied hedge size on options on the Nasdaq 100 Index will apply to those with standard as well as non-standard expiration dates. The tied hedge exception eligibility size for all other options orders will remain at 500 contracts per order.
