Markit Ltd. (MRKT) and IHS Inc. (IHS) have announced a merger of equals transaction. The combined company will be named IHS Markit Ltd. and trade on Nasdaq under the new symbol INFO.

Subject to the effectiveness of the merger, Markit Ltd. (MRKT) will have a name, symbol, and CUSIP number change expected at the open of business on Wednesday, July 13, 2016. NYSE has announced an anticipated suspension date for IHS Inc. (IHS) as of Wednesday, July 13, 2016
