Nasdaq NTF Testing Now Available for FINRA Amendments

As a reminder, effective Wednesday, April 1, 2015, The Nasdaq Testing Facility (NTF) has been updated to support the changes for the upcoming FINRA Amendments in advance of the July 13, 2015 implementation date. 

The FINRA/Nasdaq TRF NTF availability will include FIX and CTCI testing of:

  • Reporting additional time fields for specified trades
  • Linking reversal reports to the original trade
  • Using a new “step-in” indicator
  • Using additional "step-out" designations
  • Position Transfers
  • Change in Decline Trade Processing
  • Allow non-business day execution date
  • Defaulting Capacity (available in NTF as of 4/13/15)

Defaulting Capacity, also included in FINRA changes for July 13, 2015, is available to test in NTF.

Please be advised that Nasdaq will continue to perform internal testing and system updates on the NTF environment as needed during this testing period. 

Nasdaq strongly recommends participants review the specification changes and submit any questions or feedback.

Current changes for FIX and CTCI are available in the Post-Trade FIX and CTCI Specifications Page. Any changes to the specifications will be made on NasdaqTrader.com and communicated via Equity Technical Updates.

Street-Wide Testing Information

The street-wide testing schedule has been updated as follows:

  • Saturday, May 9, 2015 (regular monthly UAT)
  • Saturday, June 13, 2015 (regular monthly UAT)
  • Saturday, July 11, 2015 (regular monthly UAT)
