Why is NASDAQ OMX making these changes?
NASDAQ OMX is making these changes in an effort to keep costs fair for all market data distributors, while simplifying the fees and administration for the products. The new pricing also takes into account previous product improvements requested by customers as well as ongoing enhancements that will provide additional value.
Some of the recent and future planned improvements in data content, feed quality and administration for the affected products are:
- The Nordic Equity offerings are continuously developed and expanded, including the recent addition of Norwegian data.
- The Nordic Fixed Income product has recently been extended to include new market segments, including the First North Bond Markets.
- The Subscriber fee for the Nordic Derivatives Level 2 product has not been adjusted since the introduction of the product in 2006. During these years NASDAQ OMX has added new information to its offerings and introduced Genium INET as a new, faster, more-robust trading platform.
