REVISED: NASDAQ to Begin Listing New ETFs Effective Friday, January 23, 2009

What you need to know:

  • REVISED Launch Date: NASDAQ OMX has received notice from the ETF sponsor that the listing date has been revised and will now list these products on Friday January 23, 2009, as originally announced.
  • The NASDAQ Stock Market will list the following new Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) on Friday, January 23, 2009:
    • iShares S&P/Citigroup International Treasury Fund (Symbol: IGOV)
    • iShares S&P/Citigroup 1-3 Year International Treasury Bond Fund (Symbol: ISHG)

When will the new ETFs be listed?

Beginning Friday, January 23, 2009, The NASDAQ Stock Market® will list the following new ETFs:

  • iShares S&P/Citigroup International Treasury Fund (Symbol: IGOV) seeks investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield performance, before fees and expense, of the S&P/Citigroup International Treasury Bond Index Ex-US index.
  • iShares S&P/Citigroup 1-3 Year International Treasury Bond Fund (Symbol: ISHG) seeks investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield performance, before fees and expense, of the S&P/Citigroup International Treasury Bond Index Ex-US 1-3 year index.

These ETFs will trade in the same manner as other NASDAQ-listed securities. Quotation and trade data for ETFs are disseminated via UTP Level 1SM, NASDAQ Level 2SM and NASDAQ TotalView®, using the trading symbols listed above.

To ensure that investors and traders can evaluate ETF prices, NASDAQ OMXSM will also provide intraday and daily valuation information for the ETFs via the NASDAQ OMX proprietary index data services. Please refer to the NASDAQ Index and ETF List with Symbols for the updated list of ETF valuation symbols.
