On October 25th, MFQS will operate out of the Nasdaq 's back up data center in Ashburn, Virginia. The standard Saturday testing hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Eastern Time (ET).

What is the SIFMA industry-wide test?

Since 2003, the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) has coordinated an annual industry-wide business continuity test in October. This SIFMA test is intended to exercise the financial industry's ability to operate through a significant emergency using backup sites, recovery facilities and backup communications capabilities across the industry. The test is supported by all major exchanges, markets and industry utilities. For details, please refer to http://www.sifma.org/services/bcp/industry-testing/.

Who should participate in the test?

Nasdaq strongly recommends that all MFQS subscribers with direct data center access participate in the MFQS / SIFMA test on October 25th.

MFQS CTCI subscribers may use the test as an opportunity to verify connectivity to Nasdaq’s Ashburn data center. MFQS website users and MFDS subscribers are also welcome to participate in the disaster recovery test.

How do I register for the MFQS disaster recovery test?

MFQS subscribers should email the testing registration form to Nasdaq Mutual Fund Operations no later than Wednesday, October 22, 2014.

Nasdaq will conduct an open conference call for MFQS testing participants on October 25th. The call details will be sent to registered MFQS subscribers upon registration.

Yes. Nasdaq will support all exchange systems for the SIFMA test. Nasdaq will post a separate Equity Trader Alert with testing registration information for its exchange systems.
