Overview

An updated version of the UTP Level 1 Data Policies (“Data Policies”) has been released. These policy clarifications are being adopted by the UTP Operating Committee (UTPOC) to provide increased transparency and to harmonize with other tape plans.

Which Data Policies have been updated?

This version of the Data Policies includes, but is not limited to, updates to:

  • The definition of Derived Data
  • The definition of Direct Access
  • The Subscriber Agreement policy accounts with multiple trustees

Will a redline version be posted?

Yes, the redline version is available here: UTP Level 1 Data Policies - redline versions.

Are there any new fees associated with this change?

No. The UTP Level 1 fees will remain the same. It is possible, however, that some firms may see changes to assessed fees based on this policy clarification.
