Launch of NDXP PM-settled “End of Week Options” on the Nasdaq-100® Index on January 4, 2018

On Thursday, January 4, 2018. Nasdaq PHLX will commence the trading of NDXP PM-Settled “End of Week Options” on the Nasdaq 100 Index for the following expiries:

  • February 2, 2018
  • February 9, 2018
  • February 23, 2018
  • After this initial launch, NDXP PM-Settled “End of Week Options” on the Nasdaq 100 Index will resume the weekly listing schedule. The next furthest legal weekly expiration will be available for trading the Thursday prior to the current week’s expiration. For example, the March 2, 2018, expiry will be listed to begin trading on January 11, 2018; the March 9, 2018 expiry will be listed to begin trading on January 25, 2018; etc.

    In anticipation of the launch, the Nasdaq Global Index team has begun disseminating XQC, the closing settlement price of the Nasdaq-100® Index: https://indexes.nasdaqomx.com/Index/History/XQC

    In advance of the launch of the PM settled options, on Thursday December 21, 2017, Nasdaq PHLX, Nasdaq ISE and Nasdaq GEMX will discontinue the listing of any new AM-Settled NDX Weekly options.

    The currently listed AM-settled NDX weekly expiries will remain available during the month of December and January with the final AM-Settled NDX weekly expiring on January 26, 2018. These expiries include:

  • Dec 22, 2017
  • Dec 29, 2017
  • Jan 5, 2018
  • Jan 12, 2018
  • Jan 26, 2018
  • Note: Traditional monthly AM-Settled NDX contracts will continue to be listed on the third Friday of each month.
