Nasdaq Workstation and ACT Workstation Technology Update

Nasdaq Workstation’s Dynamic Quote and Order Entry Services and ACT Workstation’s Interact and Upload services are built with Adobe Flash Player, which will reach end-of-life as of December 31, 2020.1 Nasdaq is re-writing these Flash components on a modern React framework and will release the upgraded components by December 31, 2020. The software upgrade will seamlessly update and no changes are required by customers.

In 2021, Nasdaq will be introducing a next generation of the Nasdaq and ACT Workstations, WorkX, on a cloud based-technology stack using a React user interface framework. Starting in Q1 2021, Nasdaq will launch enriched FINRA/Nasdaq TRFTM,2 trade reporting and monitoring tools to improve supervisory controls, workflow efficiency, and overall product experience. A subsequent technical notice will be published with more details on product testing availability and production release.
